Under the Jawaharlal Nehru National Solar Mission (JNNSM), nearly 1759.43 megawatts (MW) of grid connected solar power projects were launched on 31st May 2013. This JNNSM is a program initiative to encourage the usage of solar energy in India. This is getting done across the country under 3 varied phases.
The Press Information Bureau (PIB) has given a report about these three phases. They are:
· Migration scheme - 11 projects of 50.50 MW capacity
· Batch one of solar mission – 26 projects of 130 MW
· 69 projects of 88.8 MW
