Rotary International District 3230 has planned for a mass Rally – A Walkathon emphasizing the importance of Breastfeeding on August 4th 2013 at Marina Beach – near Gandhi Statue between 6.45 am to 8 am. We are expecting good participation from Rotarians, Inner Wheel Members, Anns, Annettes, Rotaractors & Interactors. Breakfast will be provided. Our District Governor Rtn. A.P. Kanna will be our Chief Guest.

This campaign is aimed to create awareness on Breastfeeding Benefits amongst our public because Breastfeeding is decreasing in our society slowly, and as a result infant mortality rate has greatly increased. As we all know World Breastfeeding Week is celebrated all over the World which has become an universal concern as it is considered to be a major part in raising Healthier Children.

Healthier Children contribute to a Healthier Nation indeed. Hence Medical experts have identified it as one of the most important celebration which has now gathered momentum. As an individual, it’s our utmost duty to spare few hours in creating awareness campaigns thereby educating our masses on the importance of ‘Breastfeeding Benefits”
