In a single day yesterday (Sunday, 5th December), 82000 devotees has Darshan of the famous Lord Sri Ayyappan at the Sabarimalai temple!
The Dewaswom Board officials informed that so far, over 11 Lakhs of devotees had Darshan of Lord Sri Ayyappan.
The temple corridors of the Sabarimalai Lord Sri Ayyappan temple were opened on 16th November and since then devotees of Lord Sri Ayyappan have been enjoying His Darshan! Even during the normal weekdays and more especially during the e=weekends, there have been teeming lakhs of devotees for Darshan in Sabarimalai temple!
Since the temple corridors` opening on 16th November, 47047 devotees had Darshan on 17th November. During the first 6 days, 261874 devotees had Darshan of Lord Sri Ayyappan!
Dewaswom Board officials informed that until now, more than 11 Lakhs devotees had Darshan of Lord Sri Ayyappan.
The temple corridors of Lord Sri Ayyappan were opened on 16th November at 5.00 PM for the Mandala and Makara Vilakku Poojas. Over the last 2 years, due to the raging impact of the coronavirus pandemic, restrictions were imposed and as such, the number of devotees vesting Sabarimalai for Darshan of Lord Sri Ayyappan was rather very less! As these corona restrictions are completely relaxed now, the number of devotees visiting Sabarimalai has increased phenomenally!
Devotees who have booked ONLINE are being allowed for Darshan of Lord Sri Ayyappan. Dewaswom Board Officials have informed that a maximum of 1.20 Lakh devotees per day book ONLINE and have Darshan of Lord Sri Ayyappan.
Further, giving due consideration to the devotees who visit directly without ONLINE booking, the facility has been arranged to book for immediate Darshan ONLINE at the temple and nearby areas!
