Permission has been granted for the tourists to visit the Large Thiruvalluvar Statue located in Kanyakumari from the 6th of March!
Kanyakumari is one of the globally popular tourist spots. Thousands of tourists visit this place every day! They watch the early Sunrise with delight and then visit the `Vivekanandhar Mandapam` in the mid-ocean and the giant statue of Thiruvalluvar by boat cruise!
In this situation, there is a routine of painting the giant Thiruvalluvar statue with a special chemical to prevent the statue from getting damaged by the salty breeze once every 4 tears!
Accordingly, the task of painting the Thiruvalluvar statue with the special chemical was taken up on the 6th of June 2022 for Rs. 1 Crore.
Now, the painting job is completed and the giant statue of Thiruvalluvar is sparkling!
Subsequently, the officials of the Tamil Nadu Tourism Corporation have announced that tourists are permitted to visit the Thiruvalluvar statue in mid-ocean from the 6th of March (Monday)!
