Commercial tax department revenue reach Rs 1.17 lakh crore through February: Minister P Moorthy

Tamilnadu Commercial Tax and Registration Minister P Moorthy announced that the Commercial Tax department has collected Rs. 1,17,458 crore in revenue for the current financial year till February.
This marks an increase in revenue of Rs.24,527.39 crore compared to the same day last year. The registration department has also seen a historic increase in revenue this year, with a total collection of Rs. 15,684.83 crore till February 28, which is Rs.3,523.32 crore more than last year.
Minister attributed these increases to various reform measures introduced in both departments, as well as ongoing review meetings.
