Chennai Police have implemented traffic diversions in light of the comprehensive underground water supply pipeline emergency leak work undertaken by the Chennai Metro Water Supply and Sewerage Board (CMWSSB) on Shanthi Nagar Main Road. The diversions will be in effect starting from today, May 20, until May 24.
For incoming vehicles from Kunrathur and Mugaliwakkam, intending to travel towards Ramapuram via Shanthi Nagar Main Road, the diversion route will be as follows: at Mount Poonamalle Road - Sabarai Nagar 2nd Main Road junction, vehicles will be diverted to the left onto Venkateshwara Nagar 23rd Cross Street, followed by a right turn onto Venkateshwara Nagar 1st Main Road, and another right turn onto Barathi Salai, leading them to their destination in Ramapuram.
As for outgoing vehicles from Shanthi Nagar and Ramapuram, heading towards Mount Poonamallee Road via DLF Junction, the diversion route will involve taking a right turn onto Eshwaran Koil Street, followed by a left turn onto Anandham Nagar 2nd Street, a subsequent right turn onto Barathi Salai, continuing until reaching the Arasamaram Junction, and finally making a right turn onto Ramapuram Main Road to reach Ramapuram Junction.
These traffic diversions have been put in place to ensure the smooth flow of traffic and to facilitate the ongoing emergency leak work conducted by CMWSSB.
