Weather Update from the Tamil Nadu Weatherman:
As of the latest update, Chennai and Hosur can expect gusty winds accompanied by intermittent showers. The storms originating from South Andhra Pradesh are currently crossing the borders of Tamil Nadu. Although these storms have significantly weakened, there is a possibility of some weakened storms passing over Chennai City. However, it is important to note that the intensity of these storms may not be very high.
On the other hand, Hosur is likely to experience very intense thunderstorms. Residents of Hosur should be prepared for heavy rainfall and potentially strong thunderstorm activity.
In a much-needed relief for areas that have been sizzling under intense heat, areas such as Vellore, Kancheepuram, Sriperbedur, Poonamalle, Thirverkadu, Palllavaram, Kundrathur, and the western suburbs of Chennai City can expect some respite. The current weather pattern brings the possibility of road-wetting rains to certain parts of Chennai City.
Furthermore, gusts of 40-50 km/hr have been recorded in various parts of the city and its suburbs. These gusty winds add to the dynamic weather conditions currently being experienced.
