The corridors of Sabarimalai Lord Sri Ayyappan temple opened!

The corridors of the famous Sabarimalai Lord Sri Ayyappan temple were opened on Sunday (yesterday, 16th July) for the special poojas to be performed during the Tamil calendar month of Aadi.

The temple corridors were opened by Ayyappan Melsanthi K. K. Jayaraman Namboodri, presided over by the Sabarimalai Tantri Brahmasri Kandararu Rajeevaru and his son, Brahmadathan.

Furthermore, he handed over the temple corridor keys of the Maaligaipurathamman temple to Melsanthi Hariharan Namboodri.

Subsequently, the fire was lit in the `Karpoora Aazi` located below the 18th step. Then, the devotees were allowed to have Darshan. Sabarimalai Tantri Brahmasri Kandararu offered Vibhoothi as Prasadam to the devotees of Lord Brahmadathan.

The corridors will be opened early in the morning at 5.00 AM on Monday (today, 17th July). `Ghee (clarified butter) Abhishekham` will be performed on the idol of Lord Sri Sabarimalai Ayyappan from 5.30 AM until 9.00 AM.

Udhaysthamana Pooja will be performed after the Sandal Abhishekham, and the temple corridors will be closed at 1.00 PM.

The temple corridors will be reopened at 5.00 PM for Pushpabhishekham, followed by Padi Pooja.

The temple corridors will remain open until the 21st of July (Friday). The temple corridors will be closed by 10.00 PM on this day, as informed by the temple administration officials.
