The bank of Cooum River was protected with secant piles and that was due to the fact that the major portion of the railway track passes through the Cooum River.
The official then spoke about the completion of the piling work along the Cooum River bank. After the completion of track alignment works, new platforms and buildings would be built at Park Town. It must be taken into account that platforms have been dismantled at Park station and in Fort station. At the Fort station, construction of new platforms has started.
