Not only the flood waters (due to Cyclone Michaung) have entered inside many houses in many low lying areas in Chennai, but it also took away or damaged the government certificates of the residents.
Now, a superb piece of news for those who have lost their government documents or certificates etc due the recent floods in Chennai!!
The dist collector Rashmi Siddharth Jagade has announced that from tomorrow camps would be organised in as many as in 46 places in Chennai to recover the lost government certificates or documents. These documents include Aadhar card, family card, birth/death certificates, residence certificates etc. The govt documents would be provided free of cost for the residents and this was as per the CM of Tamil Nadu Mr. MK. Stalin.
Every day, beginning from 12th of December, camps would be held from 10am to 5pm in all the zones belonging to the Chennai Corporation.
Various locations in Chennai where the camps would be held are
Thiruvottiyur, Manali,Puzhal, Madhavaram, Ambattur, Padi, Anna Nagar, Kilpauk, Mylapore, Teynampet, Triplicane, Kodambakkam, T.Nagar, Porur, Velachery, Adyar, Madipakkam and Pallikaranai etc.
