The shocking piece of information is that this time around the number of devotees is more when compared to the previous years. As there is a need to wait for long hours for darshan, many devotees have been returning back now without having darshan.
It must be noted that now devotees who are unable to go to sabarimala have been visiting Swami Ayyappan temple at Madipakkam to complete their fast.
Sri Ayyappan Temple foundation has mentioned in a release that this year Sabari Malai has witnessed an immense crowd of devotees As a result, many elders, children and women were unable to have darshan of Swami Ayappan and they have been returning back.
The release added that those devotees who were unable to get darshan of Swami Ayyappan at Sabari Malai could visit the Swamy Ayyappan temple in Madipakkam in south Chennai to get darshan. It is said that the devotees could walk 18 steps at this temple with their irumudi and they could perform ghee abhishekam and end their fast and obtain the blessings of Swami Ayappan.
