Tambaram to Tirunelveli Pongal Special Trains Announced

In anticipation of the increased passenger demand during the Pongal Festival, special trains have been scheduled to operate between Tambaram and Tirunelveli. The Pongal Specials, numbered as Train No. 06003/06004, will facilitate convenient travel for commuters during the festive season.
The Tambaram – Tirunelveli Special (Train No. 06003) is set to depart from Tambaram at 21:50 hrs on January 11th, 13th, and 16th, 2024 (Thursday, Saturday, and Tuesday, respectively). The train is scheduled to reach Tirunelveli at 11:15 hrs the following day, providing a total of three services on these dates.
Conversely, the Tirunelveli - Tambaram Special (Train No. 06004) will depart from Tirunelveli at 14:15 hrs on January 12th, 14th, and 17th, 2024 (Friday, Sunday, and Wednesday, respectively). The return journey will conclude at Tambaram at 03:15 hrs the next day, offering three services on these specified dates.
The coach composition for these special trains includes 3 AC Three Tier Coaches, 9 AC Three Tier Economy Coaches, 2 Sleeper Class Coaches, 2 General Second Class Coaches, 1 Second Class Coach (Divyangjan Friendly), and 1 Luggage cum Brake Van.
This initiative aims to accommodate the surge in passenger traffic during the Pongal festivities, ensuring a smoother and more convenient travel experience for all.
