The Deputy Mayor of Tambaram Urban Administration (Corporation), G. Kamaraj, has informed that the Metro Water Distribution Project currently underway in Tambaram will soon be completed at a cost of Rs. 2 Crores and will be dedicated to public service.
Citizens of Tambaram`s wards 29 & 30 have been complaining for quite some time that the present drinking water distribution system has not been meeting the locality`s demands.
In response to this situation, the project to bring drinking water from Pammal to Thiruneermalai has commenced at a cost of Rs. 2 Crores and is nearing completion.
Once finished, residences in Wards 29 & 30 in Tambaram will receive drinking water once every three days!
