There are many telecom operators like Airtel, Jio, Vodafone, BSNL etc that are providing their services to the people in India now. The news that has come out is that telecom operators like Airtel and Jio might be increasing the tariffs after the elections in India. This was brought to light by an analyst report from Antique stock broking.
It is known to us that in India elections would be held in 7 phases from 19th April to 1st June 2024. It is now said that there could be an increase of 15% to 17% in the tariffs after the elections.
Information collected is that Bharti Airtel could become a major beneficiary of the price hike with ARPU or Average Revenue per User going from Rs 208 to Rs 286 by the end of FY 2027.
In the next 3 years, Bharti Airtel revenue would grow at twice the industry average due to tariffs hike plus due to 2G upgradation, growth of enterprise and fibre to home network etc.
It was also brought out by the report that Jio and Airtel have been gaining increased market share in the last five and half years at the expense of Vodafone and BSNL.
