Southern Railway Extends Special Train Services for Onam Festival!
Southern Railway (SR) has announced the extension of a special train service to accommodate the increased number of passengers during the Onam festival.
The service of Train No. 06043, the Dr MGR Chennai Central - Kochuveli Weekly Special, which departs from Dr MGR Chennai Central at 3:45 pm on Wednesdays and arrives in Kochuveli at 8:30 am the next day, will now also operate on August 28, September 4, 11, 18, and 25 (five services).
Similarly, Train No. 06044, the Kochuveli - Dr MGR Chennai Central Weekly Special, which departs from Kochuveli at 6:25 pm on Thursdays and reaches Dr MGR Chennai Central at 11:25 am the following day, will be extended to run on August 29, September 5, 12, 19, and 26 (five services).
Advance reservations for these special trains are now open, according to a release from Southern Railway (SR).
