Tomorrow Rathasaptami in Tirupati

Nearly more than 450 annual festivals are getting celebrated in Thirupathi Elumalaiyan Temple.

During the annual festival of Tirumala Tirupati Ardha Brahmotsavam, the Lord Malayappa Swami will be taken in procession around the four madda streets on 16 different vahanams, so as the devotees can get the blessing from the Lord. 

In the same way, during the Rathasaptami festival, Lord Malayappa Swami along with the Ubhaya Nacchiars, SriDevi and BhuDevi again comes out for procession in 7 different vahanams from Sunrise to Sunset.

Rathasaptami or Soorya Jayanthi is a big festival at Tirumala and is a celebration of the Lord Malayappa Swami as Soorya Narayana.

Lord Surya Narayana Murthy splendidly adorned with precious ornaments will first come out for procession on Surya Prabha Vahanam from 5.30 AM to 8 AM. The devotees can view the Malayappa Swami in Chinna Sesha Vahanam from 9 AM to 10 AM; Garuda Vahanam from 11AM to 12 NOON; Hanumantha Vahanam from 1PM to 2 PM.

At 2 PM, Swami will be given a holy dip in Pushkarini Samasthanam. Swami will comes out for procession on KalpaVriksha Vahanam from 4PM to 5PM; SarvaBhupala Vahanam from 6 PM to 7 PM; Chandraprabha Vahanam from 8PM to 9PM.
