Freight vessel services of Chennai-Colombo-Gulf begins

On Friday, the maiden arrival of vessel m.v. Sima Perfect marked the commencement of direct weekly service of Chennai-Colombo-Gulf (CCG) service from Chennai.
Operated by Simatech Shipping through its agent Greenways Shipping, the service will connect Chennai with Gulf countries. The vessels, with a carrying capacity of 1,200 Twenty Foot Equivalent Units (TEUs) of containers each will call at Chennai, Colombo, Cochin, Jebel Ali, Cochin, Colombo and Chennai.
It will reach CCTL on Fridays and depart the next day. On its maiden voyage, Sima Perfect carried 350 TEUs of containers for discharging at Colombo and Jebel Ali.
It consisted of garments, granite, food articles, sea food and general cargo.
