Prevailing Low pressure – possibility of rain in coastal areas

Low pressure has developed in Bay of Bengal area. Chennai Metro weather has indicated the possibility of rain in coastal areas.
Low pressure estarted developing on 23rd February across Bay of Bengal near Tamil Nadu. It rained in Villupuram, Cuddalore, and Nagapattinam, districts. There was rain in some parts of Chennai as well.
Low pressure has persisted in the same area. Hence, rain is expected in the coastal areas in Tamil Nadu & Pondicherry.
Rain is forecast for some interior districts. Chennai will remain cloudy. 10 to 20 mm rain has been recorded in the recent rains.
