Google has announced the tenth edition of the programme for 2014, calling for applications from students across the globe.
The firm, which accepted about 1,200 students, plans to add 10 per cent more students, this year keeping in view the huge interest.
“Get started by reviewing the ideas pages of the 190 open source projects in this year’s program, and decide which projects you’re interested in. There are a limited number of spots, and writing a great project proposal is essential to being selected to the program,” Carol Smith, Google Open Source team, says.
"Students can submit proposals on Google’s web site. The deadline ends at the noon March 21. They can check Google’s Open Source blog for more information," Smith said.
