The procedure for the issue of H-1B Visas for the individuals who intend to take up jobs in the USA commenced on 2nd April.

As the US President Donald Trump had issued orders to make the regulations strict and tough, it is expected that the application for H-1B Visas may get rejected even in case some minor errors.

H-1B Visa is issued for those who want to work in the USA without intentions of migrating. H-1B Visa holders can stay and work in the USA for a period of 3 years.

The software companies in the USA offer jobs for the suitable candidates mostly from countries such as India and China.

However, Donald Trump, even during his presidential campaign had raised the slogans such as `US jobs are only for US citizens’  and also urging the people buy only American products and thus projected the aspect of national favour.

Even since he assumed office as the president of the USA, Donald Trump has been seriously intent on this issue as per his campaign. He has made the complaint most foreigners tend to occupy the US jobs. Hence, some stringent regulations and highly vigilant monitoring are being adapted in the issue of H-1B Visas this year.

The US government has ordered that issue of H-1B visa must be rejected even in case of some minor errors.

It is planned to issue 65000 H-1B Visas every year. This will be followed in this year as well. Though there was information floating that there might be a reduction in the number of H-1B Visas issued. No change has been made on this.

Out of the 65000 H-1B Visas to be issued, 20000 will be issued to the candidates pursuing their post graduation courses in the USA.

The procedure for applying for H-1B visa commenced on 2nd April. After this, the applications will be scrutinized until 10th September. The issue of H-1B visas will be taken up during October.

It has been ordered that if the applicant had filled up the details in the duplicate forms issued by the recruiting companies, they must be rejected.

This year, the issue of issue of Premium H-1B visas has been cancelled. It will be resumed in the next year. Details such as the email used in the last year, details pertaining the social networking media, etc.

Usually, the issue of H-1B Visas is done on a computerized ‘lucky draw’ basis. However, as more stringent regulations are being followed it is not confirmed whether this computerized lucky draw system will be adapted for the issue of H-1B Visas.
