A new system of the Post Office banking services introducing house-to-house visits is set to be introduced.
India Post has commenced banking services. As the next initiative, it has planned to make the Post Office banking field staff in the rural areas to make house-to-house calls with the hand-held devices to be given to them.
It has been informed that the senior citizens, pensioners, agriculturists, and self-help groups can avail benefits with this system.
Once the Aadhar card details are furnished to the field staff, the fingerprints will be recorded on the hand-held device and the concerned individuals can now deposit or withdraw money in any of the public sector banks.
A new App has been introduced for this purpose in the northern states of the country.
It has been planned to provide this banking service to the public through the 1.30 Lakh Post Offices located throughout the country,
This provision has already been implemented in 12 states. It is set to start soon in the state of Tamil Nadu. The Post Office staff are being trained for this scheme.
