There is no doubt that you want your children have healthy and tasty dishes every time they eat. As mothers are turning health conscious and focusing on their child’s food habits like anything, the trends in foods are changing too. Children also want not just healthy, but tasty dishes.

So here we present to you some of the most interesting and tasty dishes that give your children good health.

Sesame seed balls – this is a great snack to pack for school for your child. This helps in increasing body weight in extremely lean babies. This is made using sesame seeds and jaggery as the base ingredients. The seeds are dry roasted and added with jaggery syrup and ghee along with cardamom powder to make tiny balls like medium sized laddoo.

Cotton seed milk – this is an excellent drink that your kids will absolutely love. It is going to taste like a payasam. It is made out of cotton seeds and coconut milk as the base ingredients. Further, you ought to add dry ginger which helps in digestion, and palm jaggery and cardamom powder are added to give it a good flavor and taste. This is rarely sold at cool drink kiosks, but it is easy to be cooked at your home.

Nannari Sherbet – this again is a drink that is suitable for summer season. This drink uses Nannari roots which helps in keeping your body cool. And we add lemon juice to prepare this sherbet. This is a tasty drink and also easy to make.

Simili – this is a snack variety that is made using finger millet or ragi, peanut, jaggery. They are going to be smooth and soft to eat. They are good for health for babies, elders and everyone.

Peanut poha patties – this can be served as a snack or an accompaniment with variety rice. It is made using poha, peanuts, corn flour, onions, ginger, and a fwe spices. It goes well with hot beverage like tea or coffee. This is usually shallow fried and not deep fried, and hence can be given to kids as snack.

Poha rolls – there are instant poha mix available in the market. This can be mixed with jamun mix along with asafetida, chilli powder, and salt and made into a fine dough and fried in oil. This is a great, crispy snack that your kids will absolutely love. This can be served with ketchup or had as it is.
