Prospects of rain in Tamil Nadu and Puducherry

As a cyclonic format has developed over the coastal Karnataka region, there are prospects of rain in 1 or 2 places in Tamil Nadu and Puducherry.
The officials from the Chennai Meteorological Centre explained regarding this:
‘The 2 cyclonic formats which prevailed over the Indian Ocean and the North Andhra Pradesh have both weakened. However, due to another cyclonic format developed over the coastal Karnataka, there is the possibility of the junction point of the eastern winds and western meetings facing each other likely over the Tamil Nadu region.
Due to this, there are prospects of medium rain in 1 or 2 places in the next 24 hours in Tamil Nadu and Puducherry.
The Chennai Metros City and its suburbs will remain generally cloudy. However, there are no prospects of rain.
