Property/Asset registration to be done on Saturdays as well

As the current financial year is about to close (31st March), the Department of Registration has ordered that the Registrar offices must work on the 2 Saturdays on 23rd and 30th March.
A target of a revenue collection of Rs. 11512 Crores was set for the Tamil Nadu State property/assets registration. Up to the end of February, the revenue has been only Rs. 9500 Crores. So, in order to meet the balance target revenue to achieve the target, several initiatives have been taken up.
With the current financial year approaching a close on 31st March, a lot of companies and individuals have been approached the Registrar Offices for the transaction and registration of assets and properties. In order to facilitate these customers and also to reach the target set, the Department of Registration has ordered that the 2 holidays on Saturdays occurring on 23rd and 30th March will be working days.
So, tokens will be as usual on these 2 days and further registration activities will be functioning as normal.
