Director of school education orders admission in government schools from 1st April

The Director of School Education, Rameswaramurugan has ordered that admissions for the classes from LKG to +2 must be carryout from 1st April itself as practiced in the private schools.

The director has emphasised that the admissions can be made with or without the procedural requirement of transfer certificates and other required documents for admissions.

The director has advised that the admissions for LKG and UKG classes must be made based on the age limits prescribed.

The director has also ordered that the details/data of all the government school admissions made must be uploaded regularly on the official website of the State Government Department of education, EMIS.

With this initiative taken by the Director of School Education, the usual practice of admissions being carried out from June, has now been advanced to 1st April.
