Not yet pregnant, then these might be the reasons

At times, the real reason for female fertility is difficult to diagnose. Therefore, women must be proactive when it comes to the health of the reproductive system. It is necessary that women must pay attention to the early signs of infertility. Getting pregnant takes time and it is normal to try for many months before becoming pregnant.

Inability to get pregnant with frequent unprotected intercourse over the course of a year is called infertility.

These are various reasons for infertility or not getting pregnant.

Menstrual cycle irregular:
Every married woman must keep track of their menstrual cycle. It must be taken into account that irregular periods or totally absent periods reveals that the woman is not ovulating regularly. A gynaecologist must be consulted when a woman has irregular periods occurring frequently. Irregular periods could be due to factors like hormone imbalance, exercising too much, having issues like PCOD etc.

Age in the mid 30`s:
The truth is age does play an important role in pregnancy. Fertility decreases when we grow older. The chances of conceiving get lowered if a woman crosses the age of 35.

Being overweight or underweight:
Getting pregnant also depends on weight and staying close to a healthy weight is very important. Women could get hormonal issues if they are overweight and this could prevent her from conceiving.  Not only overweight but also the underweight could come in the way of conceiving.

Smoking and intake of alcohol:
The fact is smoking and drinking alcohol could affect pregnancy. Hence it is advised to quit these bad habits. To keep the health risks to the baby as low as possible, a pregnant woman must not drink or smoke.

Intake of antidepressants:
The chances of getting pregnant could be affected by the intake of certain antidepressants like SSRI class etc. These might improve the mental health or treat mood disorders of a woman but could lead to infertility also.  

Diet:
It is believed that a diet that lacks folic acid, iron, zinc and vitamin B12 could affect the fertility of a woman. Please take care and consult the doctor for the medical advice.
