Underweight kids would at least or would have bad appetite and due to this they would not be healthy. Truth is that eating the right kind of foods would make their health good. It must be noted that gaining weight is easier said than done.

Growing kids require good nutrition and it is necessary that parents must not feed their kids with junk foods or foods with bad calories etc. Underweight kids can be given these foods for their health to be good.

Various foods are

Potatoes:
It is worthy to note that potatoes have calories, amino acids plus dietary fibres and intake of potatoes would help kids of all ages to gain weight in a steady way. Point is that all kids like eating potatoes as they are very tasty.

Eggs:
It is true that an underweight kid must be given eggs that are rich in proteins, vitamins and micronutrients required by a growing kid. By consuming eggs, the kids would be able to maintain steady weight according to their age. It is said that underweight kids must be given boiled eggs.

Dairy products:
A growing child needs dairy products like milk, cheese, butter etc. The presence of calcium in milk etc would make the bones stronger in the kids. By consuming butter, the underweight kid would gain weight and their health would improve.

Lean meat:
By consuming lean meat like chicken etc, an underweight kid would be able to gain weight without looking chubby. Chicken has got plenty of proteins and calories are known.

Mixture of dry fruits, nuts and seeds:
It is worthy to mention that dry fruits, nuts and seeds have more micronutrients, sugar etc and by consuming them the underweight kid would gain weight.

Bananas:
Being a good source of energy, bananas would make the kids gain weight. Point is that bananas can be consumed either in the form of fruits or milkshakes or as desserts etc.

Nut butters:
It is believed that nut butter and spreads could make a kid gain weight and health would be improved. Peanut butter can be consumed with veggies and fruit sticks etc.
