Do not eat these foods in the raw form

Cooking foods before eating has been going on for so many years and we all follow this even now. Sometimes we consume certain vegetables in their raw form also. These are good for our body and provide full nourishment to the body. Cooking reduces their nutritional value. It is revealed that eating in raw form is okay up to a certain limit and over intake of raw foods must not be done as it could result in issues in us.

There are some foods that must be cooked before consumption and these are

Potatoes:

We all love eating potatoes. The potatoes must not be eaten in the raw form as the presence of toxins in the potatoes could lead to gastric issues in us. Sometimes issues like headache and nausea also results when we consume potato in raw form. Potatoes have great amounts of starch and it is not easily digested when eaten in raw form. By cooking starch gets broken down and digestion is easier.

Mushrooms:

Produced above the ground, mushroom is a spore bearing fruiting body of a fungus. Mushrooms are consumed by many these days is known. These mushrooms must not be eaten in raw forms as it is harmful to our body. The microbes present in the raw mushrooms could result in digestive problems plus in food poisoning also. By cooking, various nutrients in the mushrooms like proteins, minerals etc get released and that is superb for us.

Milk:

Most of us drink milk after boiling it. There are few who drink raw milk also. The presence of microbes like salmonella, E. coli etc in the raw milk could lead to microbial diseases in us.

Eggs:

Egg is an amazing food and most of us eat egg. Raw egg is eaten by those who want to build their muscles etc. The salmonella and other bacteria are present in the raw eggs and this could lead to diseases in us.

Broccoli:

It belongs to the cabbage family and is an edible green plant where its flowering head is consumed. Eating this broccoli provides us many health benefits is known. Not many know that eating broccoli in raw form could be harmful as it is difficult to digest and it could increase the sugar levels in us.

Carrots:

Many of us eat carrot in raw form without considering the fact that they are grown underground and they would have many toxic substances in it. By cooking carrots more beta-carotene gets released. This is highly beneficial for us.
