In our childhood majority of us would have been forced by our mothers and grandmothers to drink milk. It is believed that intake of milk is superb for a child’s mental and physical growth. By drinking milk a child could get better immunity, strength, growth of body etc as milk contains calcium, potassium and vitamin D. Milk is a dairy product is well known. Not many know that intake of dairy could be superb for the health of the heart.

It has been revealed that adults who consumed atleast 2 servings of dairy everyday had less chances of heart attacks, strokes etc. A report that included as many as 136,000 people from around 21 nations has been published in the ‘The Lancet’.

Vitamin D prevents high BP:

It has been shown by study that lack of vitamin D is one of the reasons for hypertension, diabetes, other causes for heart attacks and strokes etc. The dairy products have high amounts of vitamin D in them and it could keep the deficiency away and further prevent health conditions that could result in cardiovascular issues in us.

The important piece of information is people who consumed vitamin K in their diet had 50 percent less chance for arterial calcification. It is brought out that vitamin K2 helps to keep calcium in bones and out of arteries.

Dairy products like cheese etc have mono saturated and unsaturated fats in them and they could prevent us from getting heart attacks and strokes. Take care that excess amounts of cheese are not consumed as they could sometimes lead to issues.
