According to the official announcement of Chennai Metro Rail Limited (CMRL) the metro originating from Tiruvottiyur will be connected to Chennai Airport within a time span of two years.
To harness solar energy CMRL or Chennai Metropolitan Rail Limited has done this. The CMRL has installed as many as 4 solar panels on the roofs of 4 metro stations plus at the Koyambedu metro depot.
People belonging to Chennai have been using metro trains to reach their destinations more these days. It is said that the people who travel by these metro trains sometimes have to wait in the metro stations and they feel disappointed.
