Chennai Metro Rail revises time table

On the occasion of Deepavali, Chennai Metro Rail has revised the time table of train services for 4 days.
In addition to the existing Eco Friendly Bi- Cycle scheme available at CMRL Metro Stations namely Ekkattuthangal, Nehru Park, Thirumangalam and Anna Nagar Tower metro stations.
The Chennai Metro Rail Administration has informed that Metro tracks are to be laid between Chennai Mint - Washermanpet to Wimco Nagar. The tunnelling work covering a distance of 1.8 km from Mint to Korukkupet has been completed.
Calls to CMRL helpline soars

As the city got the first underground metro lines connecting Nehru Park and Thirumangalam, the CMRL helpline is continuously receiving calls. Commuters make 3 times more calls to get help to board trains and switch between corridors.
A part of the phase 2 of Chennai Metro Rail will be running in parallel with the existing MRTS routes. So, commuters can get out of the metro stations or go by the walkway for entering the MRTS facilities.
It may soon get easier for the techies to reach their respective IT parks across the city. In the phase 1, the Chennai Metro Rail Limited shall connect the important IT parks lying along the Old Mahabalipuram Road.
As compared to the facilities of the metro stations underneath Anna Salai, those being built along the 9 km phase-1 extension to connect North Chennai and remaining parts of city.
