The Metro Rail Project underground section between Thirumangalam and Nehru Park was inaugurated on Sunday, 14th May by the Tamil Nadu Chief Minister E. Palanisamy and the central Minister Venkaiah Naidu.
Tamil Nadu chief minister E. Palanisamy and the central minister Venkaiah Naidu has inaugurated the public service of the Chennai Metro Rail section between Thirumangalam and Nehru Park.
The Chennai Metro Rail project authorities have announced that the public service for the section between Koyambedu and Nehru Park, covering a distance of 7.4 km, will commence from tomorrow (Sunday, 14th May).
According to sources from the urban development ministry, the Chennai Metro Rail underground corridor running between Nehru Park and Koyambedu is likely to kick-start functioning from 14th May.
The Chennai Metro Rail project officials have planned to commence the services between the section Thirumangalam and Nehru Park (Underground) from the next week.
The stations in the section from Koyambedu - Thirumangalam - Anna Nagar - Shenoy Nagar - Pachaiyappa College - Kilpauk - Nehru Park are being constructed with the latest hi-tech and facilities.
