The scope of authority and the tasks performed by Tahsildar

Certain Taluk infrastructures are made after considering the factors such as the boundaries of the district and the ease of administration. All the revenue villages in the Taluk defined area are brought under this Taluk administration. The Taluk office is headed by the Taluk Heads, sometimes also called Tahsildar.

All the revenue-related matters are administered by the Tahsildar with the intimation to the Revenue inspectors and the Village Administration Officers and their help.

👉 A variety of certificates, such as caste certificates, Income Certificates, residential proof certificates, etc., are being issued at the Tahsildar office based on the recommendations from the VAOs (Village Administration Officers) and the revenue Inspectors.

👉 The Tashildar also acts as a 2nd-in-line as a justice department representative in case of any disputes among the residents in the taluk.

👉 The Tahsildar also acts as the authority to assimilate all the complaints received regarding the government or non-government organizations and enquire about them as per the authorities conferred to him.

👉 The Tashildar also helps the district collector and divisional authority in the activate related to revenue.
