NET tests announced by CSIR

CSIR (Council for Scientific and Industrial Research) has announced the NET tests for filling the posts of Junior Research Fellow (JRF)and lecturership.

The candidates who write this NET (National Eligibility Test) successfully can get the appointments for the above research posts.Further, success in NET will be an additional merit while applying for jobs in other research institutions or educational institutions.

NET would be useful for graduates in Science or technology for undertaking research work or joining in academic institutions. NET is conducted twice a year. The dates for the 2nd NET test for 2016 has been announced by CSIR.

Candidates with M. Sc. Or equivalent qualifications, or medical courses B.SA. and M. S., B. E., B. Tech., B. Pharma., and MBBS with a minimum of 55 percent marks. For candidates belonging to SC/ST or differently-abled, the concession is  minimum 50 percent marks.

Candidates interested in writing the NET for JRF (Junior Research Fellowship) have to be under 28 years of age as on 1st July 2016. Age limit concessions are given as per government rules and regulations. For candidates writing NET for the post of lecturers, there is no upper age limit.

The application fee is Rs. 1000/- for the open community candidates, Rs. 500/- for OBC, and Rs. 250/- for SC/ST and differently abled.

Interested candidates must apply online before 9th September 2016. A hard-copy of the application must be sent before 16th September 2016.
