Free mobile app development course by IIT-M

Starting from 5th of September, IIT-M will conduct a free online training where training on mobile app development will be given. The course is titled as Introduction to Modern Application Development. This training has already begun and those interested can get enrolled at www.imad.tech.
Users can also benefit here with the resources available on programing basics. Professor Gaurav Raina from the department of Electrical Engineering at IIT-M says this course will serve as a bridge between theory and practice by ensuring fast application building while also making sure no breakage in the process. He also added that the course will impart knowledge about modern day technology in digital economy.
The course is handled by professor Gaurav Raina together with Tanmai Gopal. The latter is the founder of the core technology startup called Hasura. There will be graded assignments and a final test so that candidates stay attentive until course completion.
The course includes five modules including
- Introduction to internet
- Web application basics
- Data modeling for the application
- Security measures
- Mobile app development procedure
On completion of the course, an exam will be conducted; this is optional though. Candidates who successfully complete the exam will receive IIT-M certificate.
