Indian flights to get Wi-Fi soon

Flights flying in and out of India will very soon allow Wi-Fi onboard. In this regard, the home, telecom and aviation ministries got involved in a detailed discussion in terms of security aspects and have now arrived at a final call.
 
An official announcement in this regard will be made in about ten days, said RN Choubey, the Civil Aviation Secretary while addressing a gathering at the silver jubilee celebrations of Air Passengers Association of India (APAI) that took place on Wednesday. He said so when he was questioned about how early could the government allow Wi-Fi inside aircraft in flights inside and outside India.
 
Smriti Irani, the textile minister in India, while speaking at the occasion said that in the recently announced National Civil Aviation policy, the regional imbalance in air connectivity will be corrected and it will also aid skill development.
 
Nidhi Chaphekar, a crew member of Jet Airways suffered injuries when Brussels terrorists made an attack this year. Irani appreciated his braveness. To note, he is at present recuperating at a hospital in Mumbai.
