Satyabrata Sahoo will be the new Chief Electoral Officer

As the present Chief Electorate Officer Rajesh Lakhani is being relieved from his post, the IAS officer Satyabrata Sahoo has been named the next Chief Electoral Officer for Tamil Nadu.
It has been informed that the incumbent CEO Rajesh Lakhoni was relieved from his post on Thursday (22nd February).
Satyabrata Sahoo belongs to the 1997 batch of IAS officers and a native of Odisha,
He is currently working as the Managing Director of the Chennai Metropolitan Water Supply and Sewerage Board (CMWSSB). He had assumed this office in September last year.
It is learnt that a list of three names of IAS officers was sent to the Election Commission. Mr Sahoo was chosen.
