Apparao Galleries presents an exhibition titled ‘Sky’ by Samit Das, showcasing some stunning photographs that highlight the city sky with its straight edges, first framed by the rising buildings and then by the camera. Becoming an archive with its archaeological and architectural layering, the city has become a text to read. In the displayed pictures, you can see the city in photographic frames that are subjective and fragmented. It is like a conceptual take by the artist, on the flow and the flux of a fast changing city; a questioning of utopian dreams of a perfect urban order.
