Abolish holiday family courts, say women lawyers
The holiday family courts are turning out to be a burden to women lawyers. The Women Lawyers’ Association (WLA) has appealed to the Chief Justice (Acting) of the Madras High Court to do away with the holiday family courts and retain regular family courts.

Sterilisation of stray dogs will be done in 15-zones
More than 1.5 lakh stray dog population in the Citys extended area will be soon taken up for birth control by performing sterilization (animal birth control), according to an official from the Chennai Corporation.
