The Regional Meteorological Centre (RMC) has forecast heavy rain for 19 districts in Tamil Nadu on Saturday, September 28. Districts expected to experience significant rainfall include Vellore, Coimbatore (Ghat areas), Tirupattur, Krishnagiri, Dharmapuri, Salem, Namakkal, Karur, Tiruchirappalli, Nilgiris, Tiruppur, Erode, Theni, Dindigul, Madurai, Virudhunagar, Tenkasi, Tirunelveli, and Kanyakumari.
Additionally, light to moderate rain with thunderstorms and lightning is likely in various locations across Tamil Nadu, Puducherry, and Karaikal. The sky is expected to be partly cloudy for the next 24 hours, with maximum temperatures around 36°C and minimums between 27-28°C.
On Friday, rainfall measurements included 31 mm in Ennore, 26.5 mm in Kancheepuram, 21 mm in Ramanathapuram, and 9.2 mm in Nungambakkam. Madurai recorded the highest maximum temperature at 39.4°C, while Meenambakkam and Nungambakkam recorded 34.3°C and 35.3°C, respectively.
