It is highly necessary to change the diet you eat if you have been diagnosed with a high uric acid level issue. When the body breaks down purines that are present in certain foods, then uric acid is produced as the waste product is known to us. The bitter fact is that when our body doesn`t have the ability to eliminate uric acid then uric acid would get accumulated in the body. Avoid green lentils intake:
It is also known as puy lentils or French lentils. Those persons who have been diagnosed with increased uric acid must avoid eating green lentils. Green lentils are characterised by small size and with peppery flavour.
Avoid black lentils intake:
Mostly used in Mediterranean and Indian cuisines etc, black lentils are also known as Belugva lentils and they would resemble caviar. These black lentils have earthy flavour and firm texture. Though black lentils have folate, fibre and proteins etc, black lentils are also rich in purines.
Avoid brown lentils intake:
The brown lentils are mostly used in Indian and Pakistan cuisines etc. Point is that after cooking brown lentils would have a nutty flavour and soft kind of texture. These brown lentils are rich in fibres, proteins plus in vitamins and minerals etc. Persons with high uric acid levels must not eat these lentils.
Avoid yellow lentils intake:
Toor dhal is a staple Indian cuisine. It is used in soups and curries etc are known to us. They have minerals, vitamins plus fibres and proteins etc. Yellow lentils also have purines and they must be avoided by persons with increased uric acid.
How to bring uric acid levels down?
It is necessary to avoid sugar sweetened foods like bakery items, sweetened cereals etc. It is also necessary to limit the intake of natural sweet juices etc. Consuming vitamin C could lower uric acid levels and it could be consumed as supplements after consulting the doctor.
