How about having a car that can automatically detect potholes on road and warn you well before you arrive at the point? Such a brilliant car is being developed by Jaguar Land Rover which makes use of series of sensors. These sensors will detect the potholes and send in information to local road authorities who can then opt to repair them. This can help make the travel experience smoother by warning the driver too.
Raised manholes, broken drain covers, etc are some of the others that can be detected by the car.
