Complaints about insects found in Cerelac the infant food item!

There has been a complaint that there were insects found in the container of the popular infants’ food item, ‘Cerelac’, manufactured by Nestle.
Mr. Sriram, belonging to Coimbatore, had bought cerelac from a pharmacy in Perur area.
When he opened the pack, he found insects in it. Immediately, he took the packet to the Officer in the department of Food Safety, Protection & quality control.
It is worth noting about the recent developments regarding the presence of lead in another product Maggi. It shocked the whole nation! Now, the latest incident about insects in infants’ food!
The district officer accepted the complaint registered by Mr. Sriram and informed that this will be sent to the testing laboratory and action will be taken after the report on the findings after test.
