Happy news for the people of Tamil Nadu!! To serve as one-stop gateway for the public to access as well as update data related to the public, an integrated Tamil Nadu Makkal Portal would be launched and it would be tremendous.
Deputy Chief Minister Mr. O. Paneerselvam spoke about how the government introducing Tamil Nadu state Aadhaar bill in the budget session so that prompt and timely delivery of public services could be achieved.
It is worthy to mention here that state wide architecture for e-governance would be conceptualized and put in place and this was confirmed by deputy chief minister.
It is superb that 10,420 e-Sevai centres have been making their presence felt in the state of TN and these have been providing 207 public services.
These above mentioned e-Sevai centres have handled as many as Rs 1.69 crore transactions and these centres have now become one-stop solution centres for all the government based public services.
Within a time period of 3 years more than 900 services online would be brought on a single e-platform along with a mobile version. This would be carried out by the government and was confirmed by Mr. Paneerselvam at the assembly while presenting the budget.
