School van operators to register with RTO

School van operators will now have to register with their respective RTO offices. They will also receive a letter of endorsement once they have registered details of the van/s, the driver’s name, license number, the van’s registration number, the number of children in the van and the name of the school it runs for.
All school vans must travel with an endorsement letter. Failure to do so will result in a fine of Rs. 1000 the first time and Rs. 500 and cancellation of the fitness certificate along with seizure of the van the second time.
