Queries by the patients related to the diabetic foot and diabetes issue etc would be answered by the experts now!!
Thanks to the new application that has been developed now by the MV Hospital for Diabetes and Prof M. Viswanathan, diabetes research centre in Royapuram in Chennai. By this app, the diabetic patients would be able to connect with the experts easily and would be able to get answers for their questions.
It is noteworthy that patients with diabetes would have diabetic neuropathy or nerve damage when their blood sugar levels become very high . This would damage the walls of the tiny blood vessels that would supply the nerves in the legs. As a result, the patient would have loss of sensation and they would feel little pain. Scratches could go unnoticed and would get infected also. This was as per Dr. Vijay Viswanatahn, chief diabetologist.
On Saturday, the new app termed MVDIABET was launched by the above said hospital in Chennai and it would be available on the Play Store . information is that the app is connected with WhatsApp number and a multidisciplinary team would provide a suggestion to the diabetic foot and diabetes etc.
