Important Announcement: Timings of Cholan and Guruvayur Trains from Chennai to be Changed from August

In a significant update for travelers, the Railway Board has announced that the timings of two prominent train services originating from Chennai will be modified starting August 14. The Cholan Express and Guruvayur Express, popular among passengers commuting to various cities, will be affected by these changes.
Cholan Express:
Currently scheduled to depart from Chennai Egmore to Trichy at 7:15 am, the Cholan Express will have a revised departure time of 7:45 am, effective from August 14. Consequently, the train will reach Tambaram at 8:13 am and Trichy at 3 pm, instead of the previous 2:30 pm arrival time.
The return journey of Cholan Express from Tiruchirappalli to Chennai will also see a time adjustment. The train will now depart from Tiruchirappalli at 11 am, instead of 10:15 am, and arrive at Chennai Egmore Railway Station at 6:15 pm, instead of the earlier scheduled 5:30 pm.
Guruvayur Express:
The Guruvayur Express, which plies between Egmore and Guruvayur, will see a slight delay in its departure from Chennai. As of August, the train will depart at 9:45 am, instead of the previous 9:00 am departure time. Passengers must take note that there might be additional delays ranging from five minutes to one hour at the railway stations up to Nanguneri.
The Railway Board advises all passengers planning to travel on these trains to be mindful of these timing changes and plan their journey accordingly.
