Procuring low floored buses for public transportation in Chennai etc!!

On the behalf of the transport corporation, orders were placed to procure as many as 552 low floor buses to help the differently able persons. This was according to the state transport minister Mr. SS. Sivashankar.
It is learnt that these buses would be purchased with the help of the financial assistance from KfW of Germany. He spoke about the issual of orders to the manufacturers and 552 buses would be procured at a cost of Rs 500.97cr.
Information collected is that 325 buses would be allotted to MTC in Chennai and 100 buses each to Coimbatore and Madurai.
