Train service from Mettupalayam to Ooty is cancelled until tomorrow (22nd December)!

Salem Railway Division has announced the cancellation of train services in the section from Mettupalayam to Ooty until tomorrow (Friday, 22nd December).
Due to heavy rains causing landslides in the area, this train service was initially cancelled from the 8th of December until the 13th of December. Subsequently, the train service was resumed.
However, a new landslide occurred on the tracks near the Ilkuro Railway Station, prompting repair and restoration activities to be in progress.
Therefore, the Salem Division of the Railways has declared that train services between Mettupalayam and Ooty will remain cancelled until tomorrow (Friday, 22nd December).
