Train Services Update: Changes Following Resumption of Traffic over Bridge No.14
Southern Railway has announced changes to train services following the resumption of traffic over Bridge No.14, situated between Basin Bridge and Vyasarpadi Railway Stations. The bridge became operational from 02:10 hrs (UP fast line) and 04:20 hrs (DN line) on October 16, 2024.
Trains Resuming Normal Route:
The following trains will now follow their regular route and arrive at Dr. MGR Chennai Central on October 16, 2024:
- Train No. 22650 Erode – Chennai Yercaud Express
- Train No. 22652 Palakkad – Chennai Express
- Train No. 12602 Mangaluru – Chennai Mail
- Train No. 12672 Mettupalayam – Chennai Nilgiri Express
- Train No. 16022 Mysuru – Chennai Kaveri Express
- Train No. 12674 Coimbatore – Chennai Cheran Express
- Train No. 12624 Thiruvananthapuram – Chennai Mail
- Train No. 12686 Mangaluru – Chennai Express
- Train No. 12696 Thiruvananthapuram – Chennai Express
- Train No. 22159 Mumbai CST – Chennai Express
Rescheduled Trains:
- Train No. 12675 Dr. MGR Chennai – Coimbatore Kovai Express will depart at 10:00 hrs on October 16, 2024, from Chennai Beach instead of the previously scheduled time of 06:00 hrs at Dr. MGR Chennai Central.
Trains Returning to Origination at Dr. MGR Chennai Central:
The following trains, which had temporarily shifted their origin to other stations, will now return to their original departure point at Dr. MGR Chennai Central:
- Train No. 12695 Dr. MGR Chennai Central – Thiruvananthapuram Express
- Train No. 22160 Dr. MGR Chennai Central – Mumbai CST Express
- Train No. 22637 Dr. MGR Chennai Central – Mangaluru West Coast Express
Cancellation:
- Train No. 16022 Mysuru – Dr. MGR Chennai Central Kaveri Express, scheduled for October 16, 2024, is fully cancelled due to unavailability of rake.
